Brief Introduction

TS4280 water cooling cabinet is used for high-performance computing, image processing and

other high-end and high-density data center application scenes and can satisfy the chilling needs in various working conditions.

Functional Features

Super-computer has a massive volume (normally comprising hundreds of blade servers) and ultrahigh calorific value and therefore the operating environment of a super-computer has to satisfy stringent requirements. Such massive volume requires the cabinet to have a high quality and satisfy load-bearing requirements while such ultrahigh calorific value requires the installation of a refrigerator that carries away over 25kw heats for the single cabinet. Inspur new-generation water cooling cabinet TS4280C has a refrigerating capacity of 40KW, as against the 20-30KW refrigerating capacity of the cabinets of most other manufacturers.

This cabinet is used for high-performance computing, image processing and other high-end and high-density data center application scenes to satisfy the refrigerating needs in many types of working conditions.

The cabinet is designed to be transparent with an elegant and noble profile. The cabinet is enclosed as a whole with internal air circulation and refrigeration; the single cabinet has a refrigerating capacity of 40KW; 6 hot-plug fans with a maximum air flow rate of 8,000m3/h; Support local and remote monitoring and management.

Product Information

Water cooling cabinet TS4280 water cooling system (hereinafter referred to as the equipment) is mainly applied for the environment with various types of data center server racks and specially designed to address the high, hot and dense problem. The water cooling cabinet is cooled by chilled water and the water flows in/out at the bottom. It is recommended that elevated flooring be adopted in the machine room or simple steel structures may be adopted. Power cables are introduced on top. Heavy and light-current wires and cables may be isolated by fixed cable troughs on top of the cabinet. They will enter the equipment via the heavy and light-current wire holes respectively.

Working principles

The equipment has an integrated enclosed structure, which basically avoids the forced convection between inside and outside of the cabinet and realizes the independent refrigerating circulation of the equipment to the minimum extent. In other words, Inspur water cooling cabinet equipment can be deemed to be independent from the machine room environment in terms of refrigerating effects. When the machine room has a high temperature range, this equipment can work properly. As the following figure shows, internal air flows between the IT data cabinet and the air-conditioner cabinet. The hot air flows heated by the IT server enter the air-conditioner cabinet via the ventilating meshes in the back and the cooling water coil unit in the air-conditioner cabinet carries the heats away to cool down the air flows. The cooled airs then flow back into the front of the IT data cabinet via the ventilating meshes in the front of the cabinet and finally fed into the IT server for heat radiation. When IT server load reaches 40KW, the temperature of the hot air flows will normally approach 50℃. After highly efficient cooling, the temperature of the low-temperature air flows can be controlled below 26℃.

Highly efficient deployment

Structurally, water cooling cabinet TS4280C comprises air-conditioner cabinet and IT data cabinet. Both cabinets can be dismantled and assembled. Such design and deployment represent an integrated structural design and once-off seamless installation and eliminate the trouble of cabinet connection. Its structure is more stable.

High refrigerating capacity and high density

Water cooling cabinet TS4280C has a refrigerating capacity over 40KW. It supports an IT cabinet heating density of 1KW/U. A professional solution for blade server and other high-density servers.

Power supply solution

TS4280C water cooling cabinet supports dual-circuit AC inputs and has a high degree of safety and stability; It provides two IT data cabinet configuration plans to adapt to different customer needs; When the total power demand is lower than 30KW, a single 40-port universal plug PDU is adopted; When the total power demand is over 30KW, two PDU are adopted (single 27-port universal plug).

Three-layered condensate water protection plan

Inspur TS4280C water cooling cabinet has a unique three-layered condensate water protection plan. First layer: condensate water is discharged from the water pan through deadweight; second layer: low-level water soaking actuation to launch the condensate water discharge pump; third layer: high-level water soaking actuation to activate full pan alarm and urge manual disposal of the situation. The safe and efficient operation of the refrigerating system is guaranteed through the three layers of protections.

Mute design

Inspur TS4280C water cooling cabinet has one unique set of mute design. It has 5+1 fan redundancy; hot-plug fan design; more than 80% ventilation mesh design. So that the whole cabinet noise level is not higher than 75DB which is leading domestically.

Unparalleled reliability

Inspur TS4280C water cooling cabinet is designed to have 5 million door opening cycles and an opening/closing frequency of 3,000 cycles per hour in order to satisfy the needs of different customers and increase the reliability of the cabinet. A breakwater is provided to prevent condensate water from entering the IT data cabinet. EC turbo fan with 5+1 redundant design is adopted; water cooling module and dual-circuit external power supplies are supported to ensure reliable refrigeration. Forced drainage of condensate water and a three-layered condensate water protection plan are further provided. Three temperature sensors are installed to accurately monitor the air feeding and return temperatures.

Multifunctional interactive interface

Inspur TS4280C water cooling cabinet is furnished with the multifunctional interactive interface system that Inspur independently designs and develops. It provides interactive menus and enables password protection and flash screen alarm and supports remote monitoring.
